Where to park in Lublin Old Town

Vehicle entry to Lublin Old Town is banned – the Market Square and the surrounding streets are a no-traffic zone. Before you get behind the wheel, read the rules below: how to arrive at our townhouse at Rynek 5 and where to leave your car.
Vehicle ban in the Old Town
The Old Town is covered by a vehicle entry ban (sign B-1, no traffic). The area is monitored by city CCTV and frequently patrolled by the Municipal Guard (entry: ul. Noworybna, exit: ul. Olejna), and unauthorised entry carries 8 penalty points. It is not a place you can simply “pop into” without consequences.
Entry is allowed only for vehicles with the appropriate permit. Those entitled include, among others:
- residents registered in the zone and businesses operating there,
- delivery vehicles between 6:00 and 11:00,
- emergency and municipal services (Police, Municipal Guard, city vehicles),
- taxis carrying elderly or disabled passengers,
- cultural institutions (by permit).
Getting to Rynek 5 with luggage
Please do not drive onto the Market Square without checking with us first. Three days before arrival we send guests information about parking options nearby; for bookings made less than three days before arrival we send it right after booking. The safest option is to leave the car in one of the car parks around the Old Town (closest below Lublin Castle) and walk the last stretch – just a few minutes.
Nearest public car parks
- Car park below Lublin Castle (ul. Zamkowa) – the closest, about 5 minutes on foot to Rynek 5. The most convenient option for your stay.
- Car parks on ul. Lubartowska and ul. Świętoduska – on the north side of the Old Town, a few minutes’ walk.
- Underground car park below Plac Litewski – about 10 minutes on foot, a large car park in the city’s main square area.
Paid parking zone
A paid parking zone applies in Lublin city centre. Rates and charging hours are best checked in the current city tariff, as rules are updated from time to time. The car parks at the Castle and below Plac Litewski use their own tariffs (hourly or daily).
