Getting to Rynek 5 in Lublin from the airport, train and bus station
Updated:
From Lublin Airport (Świdnik, about 10 km) the simplest way is city bus line 5 to the Brama Krakowska stop – about 150 m on foot from our townhouse at Rynek 5 – or a taxi. From the train and coach station it is about 2.3 km (roughly 30 minutes on foot), or bus 5 / a taxi.
From Lublin Airport (Świdnik) to the Old Town
- City bus line 5 (MPK) – runs from the stop at the Arrivals hall via the Brama Krakowska stop to the main station. It is the cheapest option and the only one without a change that brings you to the edge of the Old Town. It runs less often at weekends and on public holidays – check the current timetable and fares (the airport is outside Lublin city limits) at zdtm.lublin.eu.
- Taxi – the taxi rank is in front of the terminal, on the Arrivals hall side. The ride usually takes about 20–25 minutes and costs a few dozen zloty. A taxi cannot enter the Market Square (vehicle ban) and will drop you at the edge of the zone.
- Train – there is a Lublin Airport station by the terminal, but trains to Lublin Główny run rarely (usually a few times a day). Treat it as a bonus, not your main plan, and check the timetable before you fly.
- Own or rental car – there is a car park at the airport, but driving into the Old Town is not allowed. See where to park near the Market Square.
From the train and coach station (Dworzec Lublin)
The railway and coach stations are now one complex – Dworzec Lublin. Long-distance coach carriers moved here from the old PKS station on al. Tysiąclecia. From here to Rynek 5 you have:
- about 2.3 km on foot – roughly 30 minutes towards the Krakow Gate,
- a city bus or trolleybus with no change to the Brama Krakowska stop (about 4 stops): buses 5, 6, 17, 22, 24, 25, 52 and trolleybus 160. Lines 5, 22, 24 and 52 leave from the “Dworzec Lublin 52” stop, lines 6, 17, 25 and 160 from the “Dworzec Lublin – Kunickiego” stops. Get off at “Brama Krakowska 01”,
- a taxi – a few minutes, with about 150 m on foot from the edge of the vehicle-ban zone.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get from Lublin Airport to the Old Town?
Take city bus line 5 (MPK), which runs from the airport via the Brama Krakowska stop (about 150 m on foot from Rynek 5) to the main station, or take a taxi. The airport is in Świdnik, about 10 km from the Market Square. Buses run less often at weekends and on public holidays, so check the timetable before your flight.
Is there a train from Lublin Airport to the city centre?
There is a Lublin Airport station next to the terminal, but trains to Lublin Główny run rarely (usually only a few times a day). Do not rely on it for a tight connection – check the current timetable, and if it does not fit, use bus 5 or a taxi.
How do I walk from Lublin railway station to Rynek 5?
From Dworzec Lublin it is about 2.3 km to Rynek 5, roughly 30 minutes on foot. It is quicker to ride without changing to the Brama Krakowska stop (about 4 stops, then about 150 m on foot): buses 5, 6, 17, 22, 24, 25, 52 or trolleybus 160. A taxi takes a few minutes.
Where do coaches and long-distance buses stop in Lublin?
Long-distance coaches end at Dworzec Lublin, next to the railway station – the old PKS station on al. Tysiąclecia is no longer the main terminal for carriers. From there, continue the same way as from the train: bus 5, a taxi, or about 30 minutes on foot.
Can a taxi take me right up to Rynek 5?
No. Vehicle entry to the Old Town is banned (sign B-1), so a taxi will drop you at the edge of the zone (for example near the Krakow Gate). From there it is about 150 m on foot to our townhouse. The apartments are on the 3rd floor with no elevator – keep that in mind for luggage.
What if I arrive late at night?
Check-in is self-service from 16:00 – the keys are waiting in a key box and we send instructions before you arrive. We are available to guests 24/7, so a late arrival or a delayed flight is not a problem.
